John McPhee: Born March 8, 1931

John McPhee is one of the most prolific and talented non fiction writers and essayist in American history.   Winner of the 1999 Pulitzer prize along with his decades of writing for the New Yorker,   McPhee finds a way to make the most ubiquitous items or landscapes we all take for granted into the most interesting essays.   Below we have listed many of our favorites – No top 10 list could due, Mcphee does not know how to put out a mediocre collection – and he has over 30 titles available.
